This Privacy Policy describes how YepIts.ai ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address. We use this to authenticate you and send service-related emails (e.g., password reset, usage notifications).

Usage data: When you summarize a video, we store the YouTube URL you submit, the generated summary, and a timestamp. This is tied to your account so you can access your summary history. The generated summary itself describes a public YouTube video, not you, and is published as a public page at yepits.ai/s/… with no reference to who requested it.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details. Stripe handles all payment data securely.

Technical data: We automatically collect basic technical information including IP address, browser type, and device information for security and analytics purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the summarization service
• To authenticate your account and manage your subscription
• To send service-related communications (account updates, important changes)
• To monitor usage to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
• To improve our service quality and user experience

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not sell your data to third parties

• We do not share your summaries with other users
• We do not track your browsing activity outside of YepIts.ai

AI Processing

When you submit a YouTube URL, we fetch the video transcript and send it to Anthropic's Claude API for summarization. Anthropic processes this data according to their own privacy policy. We do not control how Anthropic handles transcript data once it reaches their servers.

Cookies

We use an essential authentication cookie (keeping you logged in) and two first-party analytics cookies: a random visitor ID, and, if you arrived through a link with campaign tags, the source you came from. These let us count visits and see which channels bring people here. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any analytics that follow you across other websites. Data Retention

• Free accounts: Summaries are retained for 30 days
• Pro accounts: Summaries are retained for the duration of your subscription
• Account data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion request

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restriction: Request we limit processing of your data

Children's Privacy

YepIts.ai is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

• YouTube/Google — Transcript fetching via InnerTube API
